- Flexibility: Pay what you want, when you want, provided that the balance in the interest earning account is sufficient to pay for the monthly insurance and administrative charges.
- Interest credited to the policy's account may significantly exceed the minimum guaranteed tax-deferred interest rate as market conditions permit.
- Permanent protection for life, provided sufficient premium is paid. The amount of coverage can be increased or decreased, according to the terms of the policy.
- Some products have "no-lapse" guarantees so that provided premium requirements are met, the policy will not lapse, no matter what the account balance is.
- No investments to manage. The insurance company invests the portion of the premium that exceeds the cost of insurance in order to increase the value of the accounts in its issued policies.
